The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at American International College has received a ten-year accreditation renewal, extending through December 31, 2033, from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Board of Commissioners.
The program underwent evaluation based on the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs. At its meeting in October, the Board concluded that the program satisfies all four accreditation standards.
AIC Director of Nursing, Ellen Furman, PhD, RN, notes, “CCNE ensures that nursing programs maintain program quality in their mission and governance, institutional commitment and resources, and curriculum and teaching-learning practices, as well as effectiveness in program assessment and achievement of program outcomes. It is through the hard work of the College’s dedicated faculty, students, staff, and community healthcare partners that AIC has achieved this accreditation. “
The AIC community commends all those who contributed to this achievement, highlighting their ongoing commitment to program excellence.
