“As a student at American International College, I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who cross the road without looking to see if traffic is coming or stopped.

People almost seem to wander into the road with little to no care at all. It’s even worse with smartphones. On a college campus, I see it all the time.

I understand as a pedestrian that the law is on your side if you get hit. But the law doesn’t prevent you from being killed or suffering permanent injuries if you are hit.”
