Valley Blue Sox claim first-ever NECBL championship with help from AIC baseball player Mike Wroth

The Valley Blue Sox completed a two-game sweep of the Ocean State Waves, scoring their first-ever New England Collegiate Baseball League championship. The Sox were a perfect 5-0 during their playoff run.

Mike was a late addition to the Blue Sox this season, joining fellow AIC teammate Joe Pepe. Wroth grew up just down the road from Mackenzie Stadium, graduating from Chicopee High School and attending Blue Sox games as a fan. Getting the trophy was very personal for him.

The Valley Blue Sox, part of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), showcase high level baseball players at the college level. The NECBL is one of the premier summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country, the Valley Blue Sox proved that!
